Position Title: Marketing Manager

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities
The Marketing Manager is responsible to manage Able Planet’s line of consumer electronics and hearing health products from development through ongoing commercialization. The successful candidate will have experience in 3 areas of commercialization, including but not limited to Product Marketing, Social Media and Public Relations.

Product Marketing
Able Planet products include a portfolio of proprietary technologies, consumer electronics that are currently focused on audio and communication headphones and headsets, and hearing health products that include specialized technologies to assistive listening devices and hearing aids.

  • Develop and manage marketing promotional campaigns, literature and sales support materials.
  • Responsible to manage and implement pricing strategies
  • Training materials for sales support
  • Interface with sales and distributor teams to lead Company advertising and promotional campaigns.
  • Interface directly with Able Planet customers to implement promotions and to maintain up to date and accurate promotional calendar.
  • Maintain effective, timely and comprehensive reports to management

Social Media
Responsibilities include managing the means of interactions among people in which they create, share, and exchange information and ideas in virtual communities and networks. The Marketing Manager will work with the Creative Director/Graphic Designer in developing and shaping the Social Media presence of Able Planet Incorporated.

  • Executing successful social media event coordination and campaign development.
  • The establishment of a governance model for the Company’s Online Community presence.
  • Managing engagement and interactivity with target audiences as well as fostering community spirit.
  • Working in a cross functional environment with strong communication skills and possesses a strong passion for Social Media in a business atmosphere.

Public Relations
Managing the spread of information between Able Planet and the public.

  • Gaining exposure to target audiences using topics of public interest and news items that do not require direct payment.
  • Manage public communications (consumers, buyers, press, industry opinion leaders, investors, partners, employees) about the Company’s leadership, products, technologies and mission.
  • Present on the Company at conferences, industry events and trade shows
  • Apply for and win industry awards

Qualifications
Education
Bachelors Degree Required, MBA preferred

Specialized Knowledge

  • At least 5 years of experience in Marketing Management with a comprehensive knowledge and experience in consumer electronics, Social Media and Public/Media Relations.
  • Professional Communication Skills
  • Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs
  • Domestic travel to customer locations by automobile and/or airplane (may include occasional evening/weekend travel)
  • Self Motivated / Goal Oriented
  • Experience in internet marketing programs
  • Responsible to manage and implement pricing strategies, MSRP, MAP and related policies
  • Development of sales training materials
  • Interface with sales teams to lead Company advertising and promotional campaigns
  • Interface directly with Able Planet customers to implement promotions and to maintain up to date and accurate promotional calendar
  • Maintain effective, timely and comprehensive reports to management
  • Plan and Coordinate Trade Shows and Promotional events
  • Design and create product packaging and other marketing materials
  • Extensive Experience in the Adobe Platform, including Photoshop, Illustrator for Social Media Campaigns
  • Work with VP Sales and other Key Account Representatives to integrate PR campaigns with customer promotions
  • Coordinate industry events, including trade shows, setting appointments with Press and other key attendees
  • Coordinate Press Releases, posting and follow up on results

Marketing Specialist-Retail

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain relationship with large and midsize retail corporate customers and buyers
  • Planning/order tracking multiple online marketing promotions
  • Fact and data checking of retailer and partner sites
  • Set-up and maintenance of customer documents and product portfolios
  • Responding immediately to customer queries about daily orders, inventory, returns and shipments
  • Supporting sales team in all functions, to include: administrative support, client support, information exchange
  • Participating in trade shows and marketing events
  • Submitting required reports accurately, completely and on time.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Previous Inside Sales Experience Required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Solid business understanding- specifically related to communicating with both clients as well as internal team members
  • Ability to work well and produce professional quality deliverables under tight time constraints
  • Experience working in complex business environments and on high-pressure, fast-paced projects in a collaborative team setting
  • Advanced problem solving skills/ ability to troubleshoot issues without requiring a lot of guidance or oversight
  • Excellent work ethic, displaying dependability and commitment to our success
  • Willingness and confidence to “own” new tasks & responsibilities

REQUIREMENTS
Candidates will have a Bachelors degree in a technical or business discipline or equivalent experience.
Preferred work experience includes 1 year inside sales experience or related internship, or consumer electronic retail sales.

Superior knowledge of accessing and using the Internet, HTML, and MS Office tools; knowledge of computer systems,
communication tools and software such as Windows NT, FTP, HTTPS, SMTP, Internet security, and delimited file formats.

REQUIRED ABILITIES

Demonstrates ability to handle multiple projects and details simultaneously. Requires self-direction, tact, diplomacy and a clear, courteous and professional manner when dealing with co-workers and the public. Must demonstrate effective oral communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with staff inside and outside the department.

Salary: $35,000 Plus Bonus Potential depending on experience

Key Account Manager

Reporting to the Vice President Sales and Marketing, we are looking for an experienced sales professional who will be assigned Key Retailer Accounts. The ideal candidates have the ability to open new business and to work with consumer electronics buyers who are experts in their field. Having an understanding of retail B2B sales and the ability to establish buyer relationships, to set product assortments, to create point of purchase merchandising, and to set successful consumer focused sales promotions… is highly valued in this position.
